Why Travel To Africa Doesn’t Have A Doleful Reputation Anymore

Introduction

I’ve been to Africa many times over the years, and every time I visit it, I come back with an even greater appreciation for this incredible continent. My first trip was in 2000, when I traveled through Namibia and South Africa by bus. At that time, tourism was still an emerging industry in most parts of Africa outside of safari destinations like Kenya or Tanzania. Fast forward to 2019: things have changed dramatically since then. Nowadays, there are plenty of reasons why traveling to Africa doesn’t have a doleful reputation anymore—it’s actually one of the most exciting places on earth!

There are plenty of reasons to visit Africa.

Africa is a continent full of adventure and excitement. It’s home to some of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the world, as well as some of its most mysterious places. Africa has been called “the cradle of humanity,” with evidence pointing to our early ancestors living here for thousands of years before migrating elsewhere around the globe. Today, there are still many cultures that remain untouched by modern civilization or technology–and it’s these unique experiences that make traveling to Africa so special.

Africa is also full of history, culture and natural beauty that can’t be found anywhere else on earth (with only one exception: Australia). From ancient pyramids built by lost civilizations whose names we don’t know yet; to national parks where you can see elephants roam free; from vibrant city streets filled with markets selling everything from spices like curry powder down south near Cape Town all the way up north near Johannesburg; all over again!

There’s an active and energetic expatriate community in the towns and cities.

The expatriate community is a great way to meet people. The longer you’re in town, the more likely it is that you’ll make friends with other expats and locals who have similar interests. It’s also an opportunity for cultural exchange: if you’re interested in learning about the local culture and customs, then this is a way to do so!

The expat community can also be a source of information about your new home country or city. If there’s something specific that piques your curiosity–whether it be local cuisine, nightlife hotspots or even just some fun places where locals like go on weekends–the best place for answers would probably be from someone who has lived there longer than yourself (and thus knows all the best spots).

You’ll have access to world-class safaris and other activities.

Africa offers some of the best safaris in the world, with many opportunities to see rare animals like lions, elephants and rhinos in their natural habitats. If you’re looking for something a bit more unique than what you’d find at your local zoo or aquarium (and who isn’t?), then consider traveling during one of these special events:

  • The Great Migration – Every year between July and October millions of wildebeest migrate across Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve on their way to new grazing lands further south. You can witness this incredible spectacle by taking an organized tour through Kenya or Tanzania; just make sure not to miss out!
  • Historical Sites – Africa has hundreds of historical sites from ancient civilizations like Egypt’s pyramids or Zimbabwe’s Great Zimbabwe ruins that date back thousands of years ago.”

It’s one of the most affordable places to travel in the world.

It’s one of the most affordable places to travel in the world.

The cost of living is low, and so are prices for flights, accommodation and food – not to mention activities like diving or white water rafting. In fact, there are tons of ways you can save money while traveling Africa if you know where to look!

The infrastructure is improving, making it easier for tourists to get around.

As the infrastructure improves, it becomes easier for tourists to get around. Roads are being built and improved, train lines are being extended and more airports are being built. This means that it’s easier for you to get from one place in Africa – like Cape Town or Johannesburg – all the way up north through Namibia or Botswana without having to drive yourself crazy with border crossings and roadblocks along the way.

Africa is a fascinating place with great sights, sounds, and tastes that shouldn’t be ignored by adventurous travelers

Africa is a fascinating place with great sights, sounds, and tastes that shouldn’t be ignored by adventurous travelers. Africa has many things to offer: the wildlife, the culture, and the people.

In addition to these three points there are other reasons why you should travel to Africa.

Conclusion

Africa is a fascinating place with great sights, sounds, and tastes that shouldn’t be ignored by adventurous travelers. There are plenty of reasons to visit Africa, from exploring ancient civilizations and experiencing new cultures to enjoying world-class safaris and other activities. The infrastructure is improving as well, making it easier for tourists to get around as well as explore new places without worrying about getting lost or injured on their travels.
