The Top 10 Benefits of Living In Europe If You’re American

Elias Rasole

Introduction

There are so many benefits to living in Europe that it’s hard to know where to begin. It’s no secret that Americans live longer than any other nationality on earth, but the reasons why are not always clear. I came here for work and ended up staying longer than I expected because of all the amazing things about this continent that make me want to stay forever! Here are just a few of them:

You can get around using English.

You might think that a country where people speak a different language would be difficult to navigate, but in fact many Europeans speak English. In fact, the majority of younger people have at least some knowledge of the language, and some may even be fluent.

If you’re worried about getting around town or making new friends who don’t speak your native tongue, don’t worry–finding someone who speaks English is easy in Europe! Many signs are already written in English (and sometimes other languages as well), so you’ll always know what’s going on around town without having to rely on Google Translate or asking someone for help every time there’s an issue with your hotel reservation or train ticket purchase.

Additionally, there are plenty of tourists visiting Europe from all over the world every year–and they often come from countries where English is also spoken! So if one day while walking through Amsterdam’s famous Red Light District (which I highly recommend) and see someone dressed up as Captain Hook trying desperately not look like he just stepped off a cruise ship…he probably did!

Europe is a great place to meet people from all over the world.

Europe is a great place to meet people from all over the world. Because of its size and location, it’s easy to travel through Europe and meet people from all over. Americans are more open than Europeans when it comes to making friends with strangers, so if you’re looking for someone to talk with while traveling abroad or want to learn more about another culture, consider going on an exchange program in Europe!

You can see some of the world’s most beautiful and historic landmarks.

If you’re American, there’s a good chance that your family has traveled to Europe at some point in their lives. If not, then it’s time for you to take advantage of the opportunities available to you!

You can see some of the world’s most beautiful and historic landmarks by traveling around Europe as an American citizen. The most famous landmarks are in Britain and France but there are also many historic places in Italy and Germany too. You could visit:

  • The Eiffel Tower – Paris, France
  • Big Ben – London, England
  • Buckingham Palace – London, England
  • Stonehenge – Wiltshire County (England)

You’ll be able to travel extensively, but still affordably.

Europe is a great place to travel because it’s so much cheaper than most other parts of the world. You can live on less, eat better food and drink better wine. Plus, you’ll be able to get by with just one pair of shoes (no hiking boots necessary).

Europeans will tell you about how much they love their local cuisine–and they’ll be right! But if you grew up eating fast food or takeout from McDonald’s every day like I did, there may still be some adjustments needed as far as nutrition goes when moving abroad. In many European countries such as France or Italy where meals are served family style at restaurants instead of ordering off menus individually like we do in America; this means that sharing is encouraged which helps cut down costs too!

You’ll learn an entirely new culture and language.

Learning a new language is one of the best things you can do for yourself. You’ll be able to communicate with people in their native tongue, and learn about their culture as well. In Europe, there’s no shortage of opportunities to learn different languages! Whether it’s French or German or Polish or Spanish…there are plenty of options available so that no matter where you go in Europe (or even outside of Europe), you will be able to communicate with others easily.

Additionally: having knowledge about other cultures makes us better people overall; it helps us grow as individuals by learning about how other people live their lives differently than we do in our own country/city/state/town etcetera…It gives us perspective on things like politics and religion which is always important because these topics can often get heated very quickly if one party doesn’t understand where another party stands politically speaking – this could lead down an ugly path so try not getting involved unless necessary!

The food is amazing in so many ways.

The food is amazing in so many ways. First, it’s fresh. Europeans love their vegetables and they eat them often. You can get great fruit for cheap at any time of year if you know where to look, or just go into any grocery store and pick up whatever looks good!

Second, it’s healthy. Europeans don’t eat processed foods like Americans do–they stick with fresh produce and meats as much as possible (there are exceptions). This means that when you walk into a restaurant or cafe here, everything has been made from scratch that day by someone who cares about what they’re putting out there for people to enjoy eating…and trust me: you won’t regret trying anything on their menu because each dish is going to be delicious!

Thirdly…and perhaps most importantly…the cost associated with eating out in Europe versus America can vary greatly depending upon how fancy your tastes are but even if we assume that someone wants nothing more than a simple meal consisting solely of bread topped off with cheese & ham slices (something I would never turn down myself) then this little treat still comes at less than half price compared against buying similar items back home.”

It’s easy to connect with the locals when you live in Europe.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn about the local culture and customs. You can meet people from all over the world, making friends with them, or simply exchanging stories about home.

It’s easy to connect with the locals when you live in Europe because there are so many things to do! You can learn about the culture by going out for dinner or drinks with friends, going on a hike through one of many beautiful parks, or taking part in one of many festivals throughout Europe each year.

You’ll feel more free than you do in America, even if it’s just for a short period of time.

You’ll feel more free than you do in America, even if it’s just for a short period of time.

You can travel to Europe and explore the world without a passport or visa. You can also move there permanently if you want to live abroad. If you’re an American citizen, living in another country is easier than ever before because of the Schengen Agreement (which allows citizens from 26 European states–including France, Germany and Spain–to travel freely across borders). This means that if you decide to move abroad, there won’t be any obstacles preventing this from happening! You could even try moving to a different country every year until one sticks.

It doesn’t matter who or what political party or religion they are; Europeans are generally open-minded when it comes to these things!

There are plenty of outdoor activities in Europe such as hiking, biking, swimming and more!

Europe offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Whether you’re a hiker or a biker, Europe has something for you. Hiking is a popular activity in many European countries such as Switzerland and Austria, where there are many beautiful trails that lead to breathtaking views and cool waterfalls! If hiking isn’t your thing but biking is (like us), then check out Germany’s famous bike path on the Rhine river or Spain’s Camino de Santiago trail which stretches all across Spain!

Swimming is another fun way to enjoy nature while getting some exercise at the same time! Europeans love swimming in their lakes during summertime because they’re warm enough so they don’t need any wetsuits! We recommend visiting Slovenia if this sounds like something interesting for your next trip abroad–it has lots of great beaches along its coastline where people often go swimming during hot weather months like July & August 🙂

Everyone lives longer in Europe than they do in America; life expectancy is higher here than anywhere else on earth!

Life expectancy is higher here than anywhere else on earth! The average life expectancy in the EU is 82 years old, while it’s 78 years old in America. This means that if you were born in Europe and live there until you’re 80 years old, your life will be longer than someone who was born in America and lives until they reach 80.

The US ranks 46th on the list of countries with the highest life expectancy; however, this doesn’t mean that everyone should move their entire family overseas just yet (you’ll have plenty of time to do so when they turn 18).

Conclusion

So what are you waiting for? If Europe seems like an appealing place to live and work, then get out there and start exploring! It’s an amazing continent full of history, culture and people from all over the world. You can have a fulfilling experience while living in one of these countries or cities without breaking the bank–and who knows? Maybe one day we’ll be writing about your new life abroad too!
