Art is a big part of my life, and I enjoy going to museums, galleries, and more to see new pieces. But the truth is that we don’t always have the time or money to spend on a trip just for art—especially if we’re traveling somewhere new. This can be especially frustrating if you’re going abroad, but luckily it’s not impossible to find artsy things to do anywhere in the world!

If you’re looking to learn more about a place, a museum is an excellent place to start. Museums are often free or cheap, especially if they’re part of a national park or other government-run institution. They also frequently offer special exhibits that change regularly so there’s always something new to see. And if all else fails, museums are great places for meeting people because everyone likes them!

Walking is a great way to get out of your hotel room, explore the city and see things you wouldn’t otherwise see. You can find new places to visit, take in the sights from a different perspective and just enjoy being outside for awhile.

- Visit a national park, or even just a state park for that matter! There are tons of them all across America, so you won’t have to travel far to find one. They’re great places to go for an afternoon walk and see some beautiful scenery–and maybe even get some exercise while you’re at it!
- Visit botanical gardens and arboretums if they’re nearby; these are great ways to learn more about plants and trees (or just enjoy their beauty). If you want something more active than just walking around looking at things, try visiting an aquarium or zoo; both offer plenty of opportunities for kids (and adults) alike who love animals!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from living in New York City my entire life (and visiting many other cities), it’s that there are countless opportunities for artists everywhere–you just have to look hard enough!

There are many reasons to visit a city’s local art museum or gallery. Often, these institutions feature more accessible works of art that are less expensive than those at international museums. This can give you the opportunity to purchase pieces from talented artists who might not be well known outside of their own area. Plus, since these institutions typically display work created by local artists exclusively (or mostly), you’ll get exposure to unique styles and perspectives that aren’t available elsewhere in the world!
