Explore the history of America’s independence
The Fourth of July is a federal holiday in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by representatives from New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay and Connecticut. The Continental Congress voted to declare independence from Great Britain on July 2nd but did not approve it until July 4th.
The Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 men who represented all 13 colonies (each colony sent two delegates). They met at Independence Hall in Philadelphia where they debated what should be included in this historic document before signing their names at daybreak on July 4th–the date we now celebrate as Independence Day!
Celebrate with a parade
Parades are a great way to celebrate America’s independence. They’re also fun for all ages, especially kids who love seeing their community come together. If you’re looking for something to do on the Fourth of July morning, consider going out to watch one of your local parades!
Parades usually start early in the morning (around 9 am), so bring your blankets and lawn chairs with you if possible–you’ll want them if you plan on sitting down while watching the parade go by.

Head west to see incredible landscapes
The west is a great place to explore. There are many national parks in the west, such as Yellowstone National Park and Grand Canyon National Park. These parks offer incredible landscapes that you can explore and enjoy!
In addition to its natural beauty, each national park has something different to offer visitors:
- Yellowstone – This park has one of the world’s largest collections of geysers and hot springs, with thermal features ranging from mud pots to geysers that shoot up over 100 feet high! Visitors can also view wildlife such as bison (buffalo), elk or moose (moose). You can take a hike along one of their trails or see bears feeding on fish at Shoshone Lake during summer months when they come out onto shoreline areas where there aren’t any trees above ground level because they need sunlight too much so they’ll stay away from shade during most days unless it gets too cold outside then they’ll run into trouble if there wasn’t enough food supply left behind by other animals who died off due lack resources available for survival purposes which makes sense since those who live longer tend toward higher intelligence levels over time whereas those who don’t survive long enough may lose genetic traits through natural selection processes taking place within populations over time; however sometimes these traits might reappear later down generational lines when conditions become favorable again.”
