9 Tips For An Epic Trip To Landmark Adventures

Elias Rasole

Introduction

I’ve been going on adventures at Landmark Adventures for years, and I always leave with a smile on my face. I love everything from hiking, biking and canoeing to rappelling down The Falls and taking in views from the top of Mount Washington’s lodge. But what makes these trips so special is that they’re also great ways to learn about this amazing region. From historic landmarks to local businesses that are thriving thanks to tourism, there are lots of things you can do while exploring Landmark Adventures!

1. Start with breakfast at the Lodge

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you should never skip it. Start off your Landmark Adventures trip right with a hearty breakfast at the Lodge. You can enjoy a delicious meal in the dining room or on our spacious front porch overlooking beautiful views of the mountains.

After you’ve filled up on food, head out for an adventure!

2. Take a porch tour of the mountain top lodge

The Mountain Top Lodge is an iconic destination for visitors to Landmark Adventures. It was built in the 1920s by a group of investors who had a vision for creating a resort for the wealthy on Mount Washington. The lodge quickly grew popular among celebrities and politicians, including Bing Crosby, Clark Gable and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The structure itself is now a National Historic Landmark with stunning views of New Hampshire’s White Mountains from its balconies and windows–you’ll feel like you’re standing at the top of the world!

3. Go on a scenic road trip to see historic landmarks

  • Go on a scenic road trip to see historic landmarks

If you’re looking for an opportunity to explore, Landmark Adventures has just what you need! They offer guided and self-guided tours of scenic routes that highlight the history and natural beauty of the area. Whether you prefer to go alone or with friends or family members, this tour will give you plenty of time in the car together while still allowing everyone their own space when they need it most (like when someone needs their phone). You’ll also have access to WiFi so that everyone can stay connected during those long drives between destinations!

This option is great for families who want something fun but not too crazy–it’s perfect for those who want something active but don’t want anything too extreme (like rock climbing). Plus there are lots of things along the way like stops at grocery stores so kids can get snacks whenever they want them!

4. Don’t miss the Wild Cave Tour

If you’re looking for a unique experience, the Wild Cave Tour is definitely worth your time. This tour takes you through the forest and then into the cave. You’ll be able to see how nature has carved out its own landscape over time, which is pretty cool!

The best part? It’s completely free with your Landmark Adventures Membership.

5. Be prepared for a little adventure during your canoeing trip

  • Wear sunscreen. The sun is strong in Colorado, and there are no trees to provide shade on the river. You’ll want to make sure you’re protected from the sun’s rays.
  • Bring a change of clothes and shoes for after your trip ends if you plan on doing any sightseeing or hiking around town once it’s over (which we highly recommend).
  • Pack a first aid kit, just in case anything happens during your adventure! We also recommend bringing bug spray/mozzie coils–it can get buggy out there!
  • Bring plenty of water with you so that you don’t have to rely on buying drinks at each stop along your journey–and don’t forget extra food too!

6. Experience the thrill of rappelling down The Falls!

Rappelling down The Falls is an experience unlike any other. To participate in this adventure, you must be at least 16 years old and sign a waiver. You will also need to wear a helmet and bring your own equipment (a harness, ropes, carabiners).

This activity is not for the faint of heart! The thrill of rappelling down The Falls will leave you breathless as you plunge into its waters below–but not before getting high enough up on the wall so that there’s no turning back!

7. Enjoy an evening in town at The Local

To get the most out of your trip to Landmark Adventures, make sure you take the time to relax and enjoy an evening in town. The Local is a great place to grab a drink and unwind after a long day on the trails. The food is delicious and they have an impressive selection of beer on tap! The staff are knowledgeable about the area and can help you plan your trip if you need any advice or recommendations for activities or restaurants during your stay. They’re open until 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends–just be sure not to miss out on their happy hour specials!

8. Make time to hike (or bike!) one of Landmark’s trails

If you’re looking for a change of scenery, Landmark Adventures is the place to be. Whether you prefer hiking or biking, there are trails that will take you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in all of Costa Rica.

The trail system has been carefully planned out so that there are multiple options for any experience level or length of time: short hikes, long hikes and even multi-day treks (which include accommodations). The trails vary from easy strolls through tropical forests filled with birdsong and butterflies; to challenging climbs up steep mountain sides where you’ll find yourself surrounded by nature’s beauty at every turn.

Hiking at Landmark Adventures is a great way to get some exercise while exploring this beautiful country! It’s also a great chance for visitors who want something less structured than zip lining or whitewater rafting–but still adventurous enough to feel like they’re getting away from it all without having too much free time on their hands

9. Learn about how local businesses are thriving thanks to tourism at The Village Store and Deli!

The Village Store and Deli is a great place to learn about the local area. The store is located in the center of The Village, so you can stop by before or after your adventure to pick up souvenirs, gifts and snacks for yourself or loved ones back home. You can also dine in or take out some delicious food at the bar!
